This could the one... The French Bulldog is the ultimate lover.  They do not like to be left alone and need a lot of attention.

Are you up to this Frenchie? Charming and full of fun, these small dog breeds must have human interaction for a large part of the day. They cannot be ignored, but do not need much grooming and very little exercise. An easy to maintain short coat, makes this ideal for a busy family.

Children are perfect companions for these rare dog breeds, which are doubling in popularity each year.

This special dog love is well known for their comical behavior and are one of the most entertaining of many small dog breeds.

They are loving, devoted and great companions.


History First Registered as a breed in 1898, this is a combination of an English, French and American intervention. 
Personality Very funny, affectionate and laid back couch potato.
Appearance Brindle, pied and fawn.  Solid white is categorized as skewbald. Black mouth and eyes essential. Totally black not acceptable
Grooming The Frenchie has a short, glossy and easy to maintain coat. Their fascial folds need to be wiped often but other than that a weekly brush and wipe with a damp cloth is sufficient.
Health These small dog breeds are prone to skin allergies, breathing difficulty (Brachycephalic Syndrome), Spinal disformaties and Eye diseases.  Mature Frenchies are prone to Thyroid conditions.
Family These small dog breeds are absolutely perfect for any kind of family situation.  However, they do not tolerate being alone for long.  Can be agressive towards other dogs of same sex.  Need to be socialised.
Training Very easy to train with a gentle and persistant hand.  Laid back and not too challenging.
Ideal Home Any size garden or apartment. Not very energetic but do need a daily walk.  Perfect for children provided under supervision when puppies.  Quiet so perfect for apartments.
Lifespan Short for small dog breeds, 10 - 12 years.
Purpose Companion and Entertainer.
Watch dog Good although do not bark a lot.
