Papillon Dogs - Fast Facts Not Just a Pretty Face
The Papillon Dog is highly recognisable by it's "butterfly" ears with tufts of hair on the end, which takes up to two years to reveal at their best.
Interestingly these types of dogs are also known as Phalene which has the exact same breed standard but for the dropped down ears.
The Phalene is means "night moth". These are one of the small dog breeds that were bred with the sole purpose of being a companion dog.
These rare dog breeds are known to be exceptionally attached to their owners.
