Adult Dog
Will you still need me?
Will you still love me?

An Adult Dog is often overlooked as an option when choosing a dog breed.  Everyone loves a puppy, but the little baby dog, can be a handful for a busy family or if you are going to be at work all day.  Puppies simply should not be left alone for hours at a time.

Many older dogs are rescue dogs.
So many beautiful dog breeds simply
neglected by uncaring individuals,
who bought the cute puppy
and then realized the growing
puppy does not quite suit their lifestyle,
the innocent pooch becomes abandoned.

Our Animal Shelters are full of
sad stories. Make a difference and take
one home to love and care for.

It is unfortunate that older dogs
are often overlooked as they are
more than able to provide the unconditional
love, loyalty and companionship we are all
seeking when we buy the little puppy.
An adult dog provides that instantly!

Here are some really good reasons why adopting a "grown up" dog is a great idea.

  • You are saving the life of a dog if you adopt an older dog from a shelter or rescue society.

  • An adult dog is not going to chew your favorite shoes which puppies find irresistible.

  • An older dog is already house trained. Time consuming (and costly) with little puppies.

  • A Senior dog is grateful for his new home, he knows what it is like to having lost a family.

  • You get a good nights sleep.  Puppies need midnight toilet breaks.

  • You know what your dog will look like, some puppies (unless they are pure bred) can look different when they loose their puppy fur.

  • An older dog has being neutered, which is an expense you have with a young pup.

  • The mature dog, is a happy travelling companion, he already knows about car trips.

  • An older dog does not have to be of "mixed breed".  You can still get a pure bred breed of your choice (for a lot less than the little puppy).

  • You will feel good knowing you have saved a gorgeous dog's life.

A cold wet nose and a thumbing tail and is all we need to know that we have done the right thing by adopting a worthwhile, loving pet abandoned by someone else.

Loving Care

Our little pets rely on us for their every need.
They cannot feed themselves as we have bred them to be our companions which they do admirably.  We need to care for them as we would a defenceless baby.
Dog Grooming as well as when they are older
Caring for an older dog
are part and parcel of responsible pet ownership.
