Due to potential Boston Terrier health issues, it is recommended that Pet Insurance is taken to cover some potential veterinary bills when deciding on Boston Terrier dogs.

There are many companies that offer good insurance for domestic animals and common dog diseases are usually covered by a good insurance company. Read the small print and make sure that the Pet Insurance you choose covers the health issues pertinent to Boston Terriers

Boston Terriers cannot tolerate extreme heat or cold, and therefore you need to be able to keep this little angel indoors or well protected if outdoors. Exercising should be limited to short bursts due to their difficulty breathing when exerted. The Boston Terrier health issues are not insurmountable provided you take a little extra special care for them in very hot or cold climates.

This little sweetheart of a dog will demand a lot of attention but will provide amusing companionship and the sweetest temperament for any family wanting a loving and devoted pet.

Boston Terrier basic training should commence at no later than 3 months of age. They are highly intelligent and therefore very trainable but are stubborn! Boston Terrier training should ideally be done through specialist training, as a firm hand, determination and some humor will ensure a well trained if energetic young dog. The more mature Boston Terriers are happy to be a lapdog and need very little exercise other than some play and don't need a huge garden. They adapt well to apartment living and are great companions for the elderly especially when slightly older.

When you research various small dog breeds information you will need to decide if you want a demanding pet, or a more independent one. Boston Terriers do need lots of human interaction and will become depressed and disruptive if left alone for long periods of time and are prone to dog separation anxiety  You do need to be able to spend time with your best friend who after all is totally dependent on you. If you are unable to make this commitment, choose another equally gorgeous dog breed that is more suitable for your lifestyle.

The Boston Terrier health issues specific to the breed, is fairly limited, and with careful love and care offers very little day to day concerns, as a result this is one of the greatest of all small dog breeds.
