Dog Bathing
Good and Clean and Fresh

Dog bathing is the first step in grooming which should be a rewarding fun time between you and your best friend.

Dog bathing, small dog breeds, grooming dogs, washing a dog, types of dogs, hypo allergenic

You and your dog will find this a wonderful bonding experience.

A shampoo designed specially for dogs' skin is essential. You must have a suitable shampoo which will not strip their coats of their natural oils. One that will not burn their sensitive eyes, causing unnecessary discomfort to your little angel.

There are many hypo allergenic shampoo brands available. A pet shampoo is designed to lather well, and is a non irritant but you should still take care not to get it in the eyes.

The amazing feeling of holding and cuddling your litte dog in a warm, dry towel. There is nothing like it. He will think so too!

You will need

  • Pet Shampoo
  • Waterproof apron
  • Slip proof mat for the bathtub or basin
  • Spray attachment to assist with thorough rinsing
  • Hot and Cold water
  • Soft brush, and cloth for the face
  • Dry towels
  • Hair dryer (set on low)

Wet the coat thoroughly, apply shampoo (avoid the eye area), lather well with a soft brush.  This is the fun bit.  Rub your beloved pet all over, checking for any unusual changes in his coat and skin. Do not get water in his ears.  Rinse very, very well, or his skin may become irritated with shampoo residue.  Use towels to remove most of the moisture.  Then use the hair dryer to gently dry the coat all over.

Most dogs really enjoy bath time, as long as you don't make basic mistakes.  The water must not be too hot, neither the hair dryer.  Keep him warm while drying.  Keep talking lovingly to your baby.  He will feel great knowing he is having special time with his beloved parent.

Loving Care

Our little pets rely on us for their every need.
They cannot feed themselves as we have bred them to be our companions which they do admirably.  We need to care for them as we would a defenceless baby.
Dog Grooming as well as when they are older
